Ragusa Ibla

Ragusa and its old town Ibla (Ragusa Ibla) are true architectural gems. However, for me, it’s the Ragusan countryside that really makes this place stand out. It’s a little like Puglia, with white stone masseria’s scattered all over the fields, olive groves and lemon orchards that go on for miles.

Ragusa and the surrounding area are well known for cheese production. Most of the local people are agronomists. There are no cities, just a few small Baroque towns such as Modica or Scicli. The whole area is peaceful and picturesque and the ideal location for a country wedding in Sicily.
